Bingham University Begins 20Th Anniversary Celebrations With Free Medical Outreach To Sayidna Village Community

To celebrate two decades of academic excellence and community impact engagement since its founding in 2005, Bingham University organized a free medical outreach in Sayidna Village, Karu Local Government, Nasarawa State. This initiative underscores the university's ongoing commitment to giving back and improving the well-being of its host communities.

 

At the outreach  ,Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Haruna Kuje Ayuba, highlighted the importance of the university's harmonious relationship with the community. He expressed gratitude for the support received over the years and outlined the range of activities planned throughout the 20th anniversary year, leading up to the Convocation ceremony in November 2025. Prof. Ayuba emphasized that such community service is integral to the university's mission.

 

The community leader, Chief Amos Samuel, warmly welcomed the initiative, thanking Bingham University for its consistent support and commending the Vice-Chancellor specifically for the medical outreach. Chief Samuel noted that the free services would significantly alleviate the financial burden often associated with healthcare for residents of the community.

 

A dedicated team of healthcare professionals, including consultants, laboratory technicians, pharmacists, optometrists, radiographers, nurses, and counselors, provided comprehensive health care services to the villagers. The turnout at the event was impressive, with community members expressing their appreciation, calling the outreach a timely and commendable gesture.

 

The event was attended by, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Haruna Kuje Ayuba, Bursar Mr. Paul Yusuf Yaki, Heads of Departments, staff, and students, were present to support the outreach effort.
